This afternoon, I was in my office working on my new prayer board and preparing for the week ahead minding my business.

As I’m working my youngest son repeatedly asked to play with my iPad. I told him to go get his own iPad. He first said he didn’t know where it was and I told him to go find it. Then he whined that his iPad was dead. I knew it was dead, but I had the ability and resources to fix it. I had the charger. I just needed him to go get it, so I could charge it.

In my frustration, I yelled “Go find it, so I can fix it.”

In the midst of me fussing God said “You need to do the same!”

*clutches invisible pearls… you right!

See God is my Father, my homie and my friend! He talks to me like a good parent would to their child. He rejoices over me, He shakes His head about me and He gets frustrated with me as well.

So in my frustration, God firmly and lovingly got me together!

When things are going all over the place sometimes we just need to find  the source of our complaint; rather that is our mistakes, a person, or our attitude about a situation, but we have to let God fix it.

A lot of times our issue is we didn’t listen the first time He told us to do something.( My current problem, because I’m hardheaded like my son).

However instead of listening the first time some  people just want to complain and complain about the problem for attention. They don’t want to actually fix it, because they know in their hearts that the issue is them. Admitting the true issue requires admitting our mistakes and allowing God to heal us and fix our hearts. The Bible says: “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬. When we are not guarding our hearts, we become hardheaded and stubborn, causing the issues of our lives to over take us. Issues we caused! We make decisions that are not in God’s will then we remix it to make it fit what we want. And soon regret it. That regrets eat at us, eventually giving a foothold for the devil to come in and try to destroy our minds. Had we prayed, fasted and followed directions, we wouldn’t be in some of the situations and having the problems only God can fix through repentance and a renewed mind.

Learn to listen the first time! If you’re unsure and lack confidence in the voice you hear, ask God for confirmation. He will confirm it in His word. And if it’s not confirmed, don’t go through with it.

Identify the heart of the issue and let God fix it. And understand the way he fixes it for you is none of your business. Trust him, he knew you would be like this before he created you. Jesus said it best “And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ and I know yall seen all those sparrows on them electrical lines before!

Be great!
