Hey there, Hey!
As a mom of 4 amazing children, I tend to get overstimulated on a regular basis without having a chance a to recover in between which causes me to be anxious, irritable and tired. Can you imagine being restless all the time and the only cure is daily self-care? Well that’s what I go through. And many moms do. The problem with most of us is we don’t know what self-care means to us. What self-care means to one mom is not the same for others. For me I love long walks around Target with a Venti Vanilla Latte made with almond milk and Cinnamon Dolce Syrup, alone or with my toddler and giving him a cake pop to keep him busy for a few. Alone is better though. I rarely get to get go anywhere alone though. When I do!!! Babbbaayyy!! It’s going down! I’m blasting my trap music, speeding down the street and forgetting I have kids! Because of this I created a line of products to explain. Here are 3 simple things you can do identify what self-care looks like for you.
1. Make a list of everything you enjoy. Example: reading books, listening to music, sitting in your car eating McDonald’s fries and not having to share, walking around your favorite store, listening to audio books, taking a long shower, whatever you like doing that doesn’t take a lot of time.
2. Make a schedule if your day and highlight moments when you have a little time to yourself. Example: after you drop your kids off to school and on your way to work. That’s a perfect time to listen to an audio book by your favorite author.
3. Set up a self-care routine that you do once a week, once a month, when ever you can take a block of time. Example: 1 hour a week for yoga, Or some time to take yourself to lunch and go catch a movie or nap. Naps count as self care. Whatever it is, set that up, schedule it, tell your family is non-negotiable. And do it!
Check out the many products in my line and get your #because.
Remember you are important otherwise the house would be in chaos with you!
